At the end of 2022, I was lucky enough to provide an entry to the Design Museum of Chicago’s newest collection: celebrating the free and open places of the city. The only prompt was to make it about Lake Michigan, the city’s largest free space. I wrote a poem about the lake, then used my own photography, ink and water to create the 18” x 24” poster.
