My time at UR Chicago Magazine was insanely fast-paced, yet rewarding. Initially hired out of college as a designer, I spent enough time at UR Chicago creating good work, I eventually running the creative department.
With magazines being put out every month, it was my responsibility to coordinate with the editor for every issue, assign and hire photographers, create the look and feel of every story, oversee all designers and every ad running in the magazine, deliver files and approve the output directly at the printer. I wish I would have saved more files from UR Chicago. We worked in QuarkXpress, and never even created PDFs of the work unfortunately.
